Fidelity and Commitment: The Cornerstones of a Strong Marriage by Hon David Bahati.

At the wedding ceremony of Glorius Asiimwe and Owen Turinawe, son of George Tugumisirize, held at Rugarama Cathedral in  Kabale District, the State Minister for Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives, Hon. David Bahati, delivered a powerful and inspiring speech. Rugarama Cathedral  was filled with joy and celebration as family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to witness the union of two souls in holy matrimony.

In his address, Hon. Bahati emphasized the importance of fidelity and commitment in marriage. He urged married couples to desist from acts of promiscuity, stressing that such behavior not only undermines the trust and foundation of their relationship but also affects the well-being of their children. "Married couples must remember their vows and stay true to each other. This is the cornerstone of a healthy and successful marriage," he stated.
He further highlighted that a faithful and committed marriage contributes to the overall health and happiness of the family. Children thrive in environments where their parents respect and honor each other. By staying faithful, couples can ensure that their children grow up in a stable and loving home, which is crucial for their development and future success.

The minister also touched on the broader implications of strong marriages for society and the economy. He pointed out that successful marriages are the bedrock of a prosperous community. When families are stable and thriving, they contribute positively to the community, leading to economic development and growth. "Healthy marriages are not just about personal happiness; they have a ripple effect on the entire community," Hon. Bahati explained.

He encouraged couples to always remember the promises they made to each other on their wedding day. These vows are not just ceremonial words but a lifelong commitment to love, honor, and cherish each other. By upholding these vows, couples can build a strong foundation for their marriage, leading to lasting happiness and fulfillment.

The wedding of Glorius Asiimwe and Owen Turinawe was a beautiful celebration of love and unity. It was a day filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt moments. As the couple exchanged their vows, they did so with a renewed sense of commitment, inspired by the minister's words. The ceremony was a testament to the power of love and the importance of staying true to one's promises.

Hon. Bahati's message to married couples was a call to action. It was a reminder that marriage is a lifelong journey that requires effort, dedication, and commitment. By staying faithful and honoring their vows, couples can enjoy a healthy and successful marriage, contribute to the well-being of their children, and play a vital role in the economic development of their community.
